Joe Strummer Returns to Newport
We’re really excited to announce a screening of a documentary about The Clash lead singer, Joe Strummer : The Future is Unwritten, with a Q&A from the director Julien Temple. The event will take place at The Neon, Newport, and will be hosted by us and Wales International Doc Fest.
Released five years after Strummer’s untimely death in 2002, Julien Temple’s documentary is a deeply personal portrait of a wonderful musician and, perhaps more importantly, of a man who was a friend to many and an inspiration to even more.
All proceeds will be going to the Joe Strummer Foundation.
The Joe Strummer Foundation gives opportunities to musicians and support to projects around the world that create empowerment through music.
The event will be held on the 11.10.17.
