Rhys A Meinir is a tragic Welsh folk story which has resided with Cian since childhood. He first began writing the music to this piece back in 2010 whilst on tour with the Super Furry Animals. It has now been developed, with help from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales into an epic performance piece which premiered in Cardiff on the 4th of November 2016.
